Code of Conduct

The use of data from the AVERA community data trust is subject to certain conditions, which are set out in a code of conduct. The aim of the data trust is to facilitate research into right-wing extremism on the internet by reducing the effort involved in collecting data. The data may only be used for this purpose. The rules prevent users listed in the database from suffering any disadvantages in their private or professional life. The Code of Conduct is based on the legal principles governing the handling of personal data (see Legal Opinion) and extends them to include standards of research ethics in online political communication research. The Code of Conduct is currently being agreed with the research community and will be made publicly available here as soon as possible.
